We’re delighted to announce that our nominated charity for 2017 is Carmarthen Youth Project’s drop-in centre, Dr.M’z.

Our Centre Manager John Nash presented a £500 cheque to Gayle Harris from the charity on 6th April. On behalf of Dr.M’z, she said “We’re so grateful for the support of St Catherine’s Walk and its shoppers. Their contribution means that our young people can continue running and using this vital youth resource for our community.”

Based in Friar’s Park, Dr.M’z was set up 20 years ago by a group of local people and the members of the Youth Town Council. It now works with more than 400 young people a year, offering support and guidance and helping them learn new skills and engage in the community through volunteering.

Throughout the year we will be raising more money for Dr.M’z, where they provide a comfortable, safe and stimulating place for young people aged from 11 to 25.
